This webinar explores how T2DM affects the development of CKD and how finerenone could impact the treatment management in this patient population. Current guidelines recommend a combination of therapies to reduce the risk of CKD in T2DM1-7. Yet, even then a residual risk of cardio-renal events remains high in affected patients8-13. In patients with CKD and T2D, treatment with finerenone resulted in lower risks of CKD progression and cardiovascular events than placebo5,6. 1.
